NUTRITION BOOTH

🥕 Nutrition Booth – “Feed Your Bear Well”

Goal of the Booth

Help children learn that healthy foods help their bodies—and their bears—grow strong and healthy.

Bible Verse: “Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”
— 1 Corinthians 10:31

Booth Setup

  • Display the provided food stickers where children can easily see and access them.
  • Make sure families have their Bear Health Passport open to the empty plate page.

How the Booth Runs

  • Welcome children and families warmly to the booth.
  • Invite children to look through the different food stickers and choose healthy foods for their bear.
  • Encourage children to pick a variety of colorful foods.
  • Children place the food stickers onto the plate in their Bear Health Passport.
  • Encourage parents to participate and help children make healthy choices together.
  • When the activity is complete, place a star sticker on the child’s completion circle in their passport.

Conversation Starters | Use simple questions like:

  • “Which foods help your bear grow strong?”
  • “What colorful foods do you like to eat?”
  • “What fruits or vegetables does your family enjoy?”

Key Teaching Points | Volunteers can naturally share simple facts like:

  • Different colored fruits and vegetables help our bodies in different ways.
  • Healthy foods give our bodies energy to play, learn, and grow.
  • Fruits and vegetables help keep our bodies strong and healthy.
  • Eating a variety of healthy foods helps our bodies get what they need.
  • Healthy snacks like fruits, vegetables, nuts, and whole foods help our bodies stay strong longer.

Remind families:

“Healthy food helps your bear grow strong—and it helps you too!”

Volunteer Tips

  • Keep the experience upbeat and encouraging.
  • Focus on celebrating healthy choices and colorful variety.
  • Help shy children feel included.
  • Keep lines moving while still making each child feel welcomed.
