Have you ever seen a miracle happen?
Maybe you have had a miracle happen to you. Over the years I have met people who are convinced that they have had miracles happen to them or to someone they know. They can describe those events with great detail and with passionate feeling. They have always expressed both amazement and, most of all, thanksgiving and praise to God regarding what has happened.
I have also had moments in my life that cannot be explained other than to say that it was a miracle. Praise God!
Recently I was reading of a miracle in the Bible that I would have loved to have witnessed. It is found in Exodus 31:18: “And when He had made an end of speaking with him on Mount Sinai, He gave Moses two tablets of the Testimony, tablets of stone, written with the finger of God.” Can you imagine watching that? The finger of God engraving into the stone God’s instructions for living as His child. Amazing. Then to have those tablets in your possession, knowing that you had received them from God. How amazing and how precious! I would have loved being there for that. That truly was an amazing miracle moment.
The Bible describes another amazing miracle that has happened and continues to happen. Jeremiah 31:33 states: “But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.” This is God saying that He is willing and able to write on your heart His character and His instructions for living. That is a miracle. Hebrews 8:10 echoes this idea when it says: “For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.”
This is the amazing miracle that God is offering to all. You do not need to climb Mount Sinai to watch God write on stone tablets, as amazing as that would be. You do not need some great odyssey in your life in order for this miracle to happen. This miracle is something that God offers through your daily walk with Him. This miracle is accomplished by complete and total submission to God. This miracle is a daily transformation as we take in God’s Word through Bible study. This miracle is a daily writing on our hearts and minds through prayer.
Have you experienced a miracle?
I pray that you have experienced the miracle of God transforming your life by writing on your heart and mind His perfect law of love.
