AIR BOOTH

🌬 Fresh Air Booth – “Let Your Bear Breathe”

Goal of the Booth | Help children learn how fresh air helps keep our bodies healthy, strong, & energized.

Bible Verse | “The Spirit of God has made me, the breath of the Almighty gives me life.” — Job 33:4

Booth Setup

  • Set out pinwheels, bubbles, balloons, and any other provided “air” activity materials.
  • Set up a flat table space for the balloon cup race activity.
  • Place cups and balloons at each station so families can easily participate.
  • Ensure space for families to move, breathe, and play together.

How the Booth Runs

  • Welcome children and families warmly to the booth.
  • Invite families to explore simple breathing and air-based activities with their bear.
  • Guide families through blowing pinwheels and making bubbles.
  • Lead a balloon cup race where parents and kids compete side-by-side:
    • Each person uses a balloon to blow air and move a cup across the table.
    • The goal is to get the cup to the finish line using only air from the balloon.
  • Encourage laughter, cheering, and friendly competition between parent and child.
  • Remind families to take slow, deep breaths together during the experience.
  • When the activity is complete, place a star sticker on the child’s completion circle in their passport.

Conversation Starters | Use simple questions like:

  • “How does fresh air make your body feel?”
  • “What happens when you take a deep breath?”
  • “Where do you like to go to get fresh air?”
  • “How can your bear enjoy fresh air too?”

Key Teaching Points | Volunteers can naturally share simple facts like:

  • Fresh air helps our bodies feel energized and refreshed.
  • Breathing deeply helps our bodies relax and stay calm.
  • Spending time outdoors is good for our physical and mental health.
  • Moving and playing outside helps us stay strong and happy.
  • Taking breaks for fresh air helps our bodies reset and feel better.

Key Teaching Point | Remind families: “Fresh air helps our bodies and minds stay healthy and happy!” 🌬

Volunteer Tips
